THEORY OF CHANGE

To foster the development of healthy children, improve family well-being, and strengthen communities, opportunities for success need to be accessible—unbarred by income, race, ethnicity, disability, or neighborhood. When children and families are unable to thrive, the nation suffers. State and federal public policies have a profound impact on children’s and families’ opportunities for success. Placing children and families at the forefront of state and national priorities offers the best chance to achieve success as a nation.

2GEN focalizes the priorities of children and families through partnerships with educators, health care providers, helping professionals, and parents who connect evidence-based solutions and practice-based knowledge to galvanize policymakers, corporate leaders, and program providers. In close collaboration with partner organizations, 2GEN elevates the “most pressing” needs and educates policymakers, corporate leaders, and program providers on sustainable approaches and solutions needed to ensure that children thrive, families flourish, and our nation is healthy.
